At NV Aesthetics we use PRP to encourage the growth of thinning hair and promote the growth of transplanted hair. Hair follicles survive on the nutrition they get from the blood supply.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP treatments works by introducing platelets into the targeted area by administering the Platelet-Rich Plasma via micro needling method into the damaged hair follicles promoting healthy hair growth.
How long does it take for PRP to work for hair?
PRP hair restoration produces noticeable results after just 4-6 weeks. However  it may be approximately 3-4 months before you see the final results you are looking for as a minimum of 3 sessions are advised for desired results to be achieved.
How many PRP treatments are needed for hair restoration?
Because hair grows in cycles, patients typically have 3 treatments to account for declining follicles in each cycle spaced a 4-6 weeks apart, after this we will offer a free follow up consultation to access the results.
Who is the ideal candidate for PRP hair regrowth treatment?
Patients who are experiencing hair loss with intact hair follicles are typically good candidates for PRP. These patients may have excessive shedding, but they aren’t completely bald, so the sooner a person comes in to address their hair loss the better their results will be, However that does not mean that a person with complete bald patches wont receive results via PRP treatment.

What can I expect during a PRP treatment?

At NV Aesthetics our method is designed to maximise results:

  • On completion of the consultation, a small amount of blood is collected from the clients arm.
  • The blood will then be placed in a centrifuge machine, this will separate the Platelet-rich plasma from the blood.
  • Although any discomfort felt is minimal, a numbing solution will be applied to the whole of the area being treated, this ensures the procedure is comfortable.
  • The Platelet-rich plasma will then be micro-needled into the targeted area using a Dermapen ensuring maximum coverage of the area being treated.
